WORLD INFO: Imagine Europe as we know it, but with a clear aesthetic from the early 20th century (pre-WWII), just with present-day technology and gadgets added. More water- and wind-driven stuff, too, which is better for the environment anyway. Can be played as regular present day Earth-verse where fitting.

Born in Stockholm to a mother who left the family when Annika was five and a father who really stepped up his game to care for her, Annika is, in short, a rebel to the core of her being. If there’s a rule for something, she’s sure to break it and if there’s a custom for something, she’ll be sure to find her own way around it.

Taking dance lessons, modern primarily, but also some ballet, as a means of curbing her explosive energy levels, she grew up to be an amazing dancer and decided early on that she’d make that art form her livelihood.

Having worked since the age of 16, for several minor modern dance companies, it wasn’t until luck led her to Berlin and she discovered the AG Revue, a theatre company specializing in all-girls musical and dance performances, that she realized what her calling was. She entered their turbo program at age 21, relatively late by comparison, but aced her way through and was given a contract with the company eighteen months later, after having been picked for trouser roles, that’s to say as a male impersonator who covers the roles men would normally play on stage.

A strong dancer, she still struggles with singing, but can cover up for a lack of basic technique with a naturally deep-sounding lower range that resonates with the audience and give a masculine air. Usually features in the division of the AG that stages their elaborate dance shows and has starred as lead for the past two years.

Is a female-leaning bisexual and is in an on-again/off-again relationship to Nera Ito, another prominent trouser role actress. Isn’t keen on commitment and shies away from serious romantic relations, seeing as she harbours a deep-seated fear of being abandoned or discarded like her mother did to her when she was a child. Is also provoked by Nera's insistence on prioritizing the AG Revue's public image and her family over what they could have, together, and therefore periodically shies away from the other girl.
